datalogging intake temps TOO HIGH

Heyy guys , yesterday i got check engine light so i went to my garage with my laptop and check engine light ,after that i check my intake temperature and it was TOO HIGH :/ it was 127.4F(53C) !!! anything above 84F(28.8C) or below 34F (1.1C) we will lose one degree of timing , so i know im loseing A LOT degree of timing :/

so idk what can i do to lower that temperature ???????????

or maybe my MAF is no good because when i touch my air filter its cold !! not 127F like it says :/

But if the temp is that high, then I would try a different maf, or clean it. It might be dirty and reading wrong.
 
If you are using a 98 ecu your numbers are off a little.
It won't pull timing until 50* C.

You should really log Air Temp while driving, it will be much cooler once you get some air flow.

I have found that if the thermistor inside the MAS gets fouled by oil it causes a false high temperature reading. Its a small pinkish orange diode that you can see sticking up into the airflow. Make sure its cleaned off well. Spray it with some carb cleaner. The grease/oil across the diode can be partially conductive, throwing off the resistsance.
