Hi, time to give myself a Christmas present. Should I buy a pocketlogger or the AEM wideband UEGO gauge? Mods will include Evo 16g and 660's, but I just need something for now. I am popping under WOT... Thanks! -Matt

check the gap on your plugs......buy a wideband.I tuned my car on a datalogger, then put it on a wideband and i was running a 10.2 a/f which is insanly rich, and will kill 1/4 mile times and power BAD....Now im around 11.4 on pump and the car rips 150% more, boost hits way harder, and the power band is serious!

Really, you should have both a wideband O2 and a logger. Though rather than shelling out for Pocketlogger, you can grab a logger cable and use Tunerstein (free software).

May be selling off my AEM UEGO, on a related note; think I might want to go with a Zeitronix instead as I don't need the gauge... just going to run the output into DSMLink. Didn't even get a chance to install it before I realized. :)

1g dsmlink can't datalog a wideband unless you have maf-t.

:nono: That is completely false :notgood:

Please don't go around spreading false information :toobad:

You can re-purpose the EGR temp wire if you have DSMLink on a 1G. Though the MAF-T setup does free up the IAT and baro wires for additional inputs, it isn't neccessary.

(Besideswhich, I'm getting the MAF-T anyway, and will be running a MAP on one of the freed-up wires <likely baro>, and hopefully an EGT on the IAT if I can find something that'll handle the job. Poetic justice, no?)

The egr temp wire input doesnt work. It throws off the wideband reading a lot and it usually won't read below 11:1 a/f. I have dsmlink and a plx wideband and it doesn't work. Dave from dsmlink says that it is possible to build an external buffer circuit to "fix" the problem, but I haven't had any luck in finding somebody that can actually build it. There is a thread on the dsmlink forums about this. It is not false information. Call them and ask them if you don't beleive me.
