is it possible to tune your car using dsmlink without using a wideband or dyno time? I know it would be ideal to use a wideband and or dyno time, but i'm wondering if just using dsmlink to log and then tune by knock, timing, rpm on a lab top would yield a pretty well tuned car?

thanks

There are a lot of people that are using DSMLink without a WB 02, but obviously it is ideal with one.

DSMlink is a datalogger and a tuning system built into one. It gives you direct knock readings, complete timing controls, as well as global fuel controls and deadtime, in addition to individual rpm based fuel controls, it also has airflow calibration controls, and a simulated AF output. People all over the dsm world tune using a stupid blue box that hacks the airflow signal either up or down, with no other control or logging aside from a palm pilot that tells you nothing more than a poor timing curve and a crappy narrowband sensor output. Honestly does this question need to be even asked?
