Datalogger + laptop?

I will be getting a datalogger soon, but i don't have any PDA's laying around, but i do have an extra laptop that i could use. So i would rather spend my money on something else, instead of buying a PDA. So what datalogger could I use? and what would I need to hook them up to my laptop?

u can if you use softwere to emulate the palm.

yeah either emulate it or, if you have an extra laptop sell it and buy a PDA and more DSM parts
