Hey everybody, it's been a while since I've been on here but my best friend scored himself a '95 TSI AWD, our new project, so I'll be around again!
Anyways, He picked the car up for $1500, all it needed was a battery and IAC and she was up and running again. He was also given a PTE 6776RSP AND a PTE 60-1 with the car, he made out like a bandit on this deal. The car is stock minus a borla exhaust and has 202K on the clock.
The issue we are baffled on right now is that at 5-6k rpms all the lights on the dash come on (CEL, coolant, brake, etc.) but as soon as the revs drop below that point they go off. If the car has been sitting for a while and start it up the battery, brake, and coolant light will come on which leads me to believe that there is an issue with the alternator. Will the alternator cause all the lights to come on at high rpms or is there something else we should be looking into?
