Dash Installation Kit question

I want to put an aftermarket cd player in my 92 talon, but i can only find the Dash Installation Kit for the 1995-1998 Eagle Talons, but i was told that that kit would work for the 90-94 ones as well. Is that true? Thanks, B

You don't need a kit.

Yes you do need a kit unless you want a big gap in between the cd player and the center consule. Goto best buy and tell them what make and model you have and they will give you a insert...the one in mine is the depth oof a cd case and 3 cds high I believe. Maybe 4. You may also want to get a wireing harness so that you dont have to cut the stock connections. Then all you do from there you match up the colors.

plastic insert: $10-$15
Wiring Harness: $10-$15
Instalation: EASY do it yourself and use Red butt connectors instead of electrical tape for a better connection.

If you do want the dash kit it is model 99-7000 (metra)
or you can ISO mount it with factory brackets and use a pocket..

But do use the harness, makes life easier..use a good ground too.
