This has been a nightmare in the making. After pulling my head off...changing the HG and putting in new ARP headstuds, plus new water pump, all new gaskets, revised lifters, timing belt, new thermostat, prothane motor mounts, and new CAS (6 bolt).

I still have a no start. My brand new injectors aren't pulsing! I check the resistance and the injectors are good, but my resistor box was bad, or so I thought. I replace that box with a new one and still no pulse. I check and recheck the wiring, and I can't find a short or break. I just had my ecu checked out and worked on at ecmlink so I am farely certain it is good. I doubt it is the MPI fuse because it all cut out on me while my car was overheating, thus the HG change...

I am about to pull the whole engine harness and rewire the whole damn car, unless anyone has any ideas?

Yes the CAS is wired properly, and it was running perfect...I swapped the 6 bolt around 10k miles ago, and I have dsmlink, no codes. I'm going to recheck the ecu...

I checked the ECU, and it didn't appear that any caps were leaking or any corrosion, but I went ahead and sent it into ECMTuning. I am also going to check the wiring from the injectors all the way back to the ECU. I am not sure if it is the MPI, and am curious if anyone has any extra MPI that I can swap in. I don't have any solid junkyards around here, and otherwise I can't find any to swap. I am trying to keep my composure on this, but I really need to get this back up.

The ECU was the culrpit. ECMTuning, Inc. tested it and found that the Eprom chip was causing the problem. They have resolved the issue and sent the ECU back at no charge. I have to commend them for their honesty and integrity, always a pleasure to use their services.

I wonder if I am having a similar problem. I got mine back from ECMlink about a month ago. Put it in and ran fine until I tried to make it to the Shootout. Car had to get towed home.

Here is a copy of the message from ECMTuning.

We have identified the problem you were having. Unfortunately, it has to do with our V3 flash module. We believe some of the more recent 2G V3 flash modules may not be compatible with every 2G ECU out there. There are intricate timing issues involved that make it nearly impossible for us to know sometimes when problems like this are going to crop up.

In this case, for example, your chip works fine in other 2G ECUs but does not work in your specific 2G ECU. We do know the cause and we have identified a solution. Dave is working up a new V3 flash module right now to get you back up and going. We'll test this extensively in your ECU and then get it back out to you ASAP.

I'd suggest sending it in to have it tested if you are having problems that could be ECU related. DSMLink worked fine for me, and it still worked after my car had the "no start" problem. I would have never guessed that it was due to the module.
