i was driving/speeding up mt.baldy, california and my car is kinda lowered,so i was going up and i saw a piece of ice/snow(possible rock in it) and ran it over like right under my oil pan and then my oil light started flashing and then i lost power and car wouldnt start.so i towed car 47-54 miles home and started trouble shooting it and it seems that my engine is more than likely seized cuz the car wont crank, not even manually.i also tested starter at autozone and bought new battery and car still doesnt start,so does that mean i need new engine,or can you fix an engine that has seized,i used the search function and read on seized engines but wanted to show you some pictures of the oil pan and oil filter.just go 2
WWW.EPSYCHOBOB.COM (sorry for the crappy pics ill try to update it with some during the day.)i ordered autoenginuity obd2 software and should recieve it within the next 3 days and was wondering that if your engine seizes will it trigger a check engine light and show you a specific trouble code?

If the engine is seized your best bet is to do a teardown and check out the bearing surfaces on the crank and rods, as well as the cylinder walls. You might be lucky, but I get the feeling your going to have to do some machining, or replacing of parts at a minimum. In the future if your oil pressure light comes on, STOP IMMEDIATLY and turn the engine off before you cause this kind of damage. If you had done this, you would most likely only be replacing the oil pan and maybe the pickup.Good luck....

well being that this happened to you can be a blessing. you get to rebuild your engine and learn more plus rebuild it with better parts. you will need to get a new crankshaft connecting rods and probably pistons kuz the piston pins will be locked up. top line offers a decent rebuilt kit, i used it and i got a gain in HP by 30 and it starts smooth. il run you about 600$$ to do it urself and alot of cussing and bloody knuckles.
