Hello everyone,

I am new to DSM's. I have only had my 1998 Eclipse GSX for a couple of days. I got the car for what I believe to be a good deal. The only thing is that cylinders 1 and 4 are not working.

The coil packs have been replaced and swapped around to verify that they are good. I have also swapped around the spark plug wires to make sure that they are good. I also replaced the cam sensor, and pulled the ECU and it looks fine.

Is the crank sensor the only thing left to change out?

I appreciate any help I can get. If anyone would like to take a second look at the ECU I can take a couple pics and post them up. Or maybe a quick HD Video and post it on YouTube.

Thank you in advance for any help.

Thank you again everyone who helped me figure out the 1&4 cylinder issue. I haven't had time to figure out where that loose connector goes yet. I have been busy trying to finalize my supra build.

I plan on doing. A minor build on the GSX also. I've been searching around on these forums for ideas on which parts work best that suit my goals (400hp auto cross/road course setup/ that I can still basically daily drive). Unfortunately most of the threads are extremely old and many of the parts they listed I don't think are even around anymore.

Would anyone be interested in a build thread of a car that was solely built by me and a couple of friends based off of the knowledge on these forums? In other words I don't know to much about DSM's but I can learn fairly quickly. I can use your guys input on every part I buy, and install everything myself based off of what I find on these forums. Maybe we could even setup polls to see which parts people suggest and whichever one gets the most votes I'll buy and install.

I'm a little bored today and was just sitting at my desk thinking this could be really fun, I know I'll need people's help with this project so letting them vote on the parts would get them a little invested in the process. Meaning I would probably get a little more help, so everyone wins LOL.

I don't have a huge pot of money or anything but I should have a little left over money after the supra is finished and a few hundred every month for parts so... Let's do this.
