Cylinder head question

Is this head still useable? There is a nick near were the valve sits & will this effect the compression or flow?

That needs a new seat, possibly oversize. I wouldn't run it like that as that will surely create a hot spot.

You mean a new valve guide right?

No, a new seat. There is a hardened steel seat insert in the head that the valve seals against. It will need to be machined out and replaced.
