Looking around its kinda hard for me to figure out where a US car gets its exhaust gas source.

Would i be correct in saying there is a port in the head on the exhaust runner of #4, which routes through the head to the intake manifold near the #4 intake port, when activated it allows gas to flow into the intake mani?

If i have a Cyclone intake mani and didn't pay attention to what intake manifold gasket i used, could it be possible this egr port has become a huge vacuum leak since the cyclone has no EGR provisions?

I'm gonna tear into tomorrow, i already have a reg. manifold so i can scrap this Crapclone, but wondering if im on the right track or still lost.

PS, if cold compression is 155, 160, 158, 155 i shouldn't have any concerns over my valves/head gasket/cam timing, correct?

You are correct, but I would think that the EGR port on the head would just be blocked off if the manifold doesn't have EGR. I'd say stick with the cyclone intake if you can make it work correctly and if not i'm sure it can just be held wide open for now.

I guess that's more compression than I've seen out of the 1G's I've tested. I put a 1.8L hyundai head on my talon for a little extra compression, and now I have 165psi.
