cutting out center panel piece

Anyone have a guide that has tells you how to cut out the word eclipse in between your taillight? I want to cut it out so it shows red whenever I brake (i think) but i don't know what tool to use.

a dremel tool would work well, but there arent any lights in there to light it up so youll have to wire some in

yea i did it wit a butter knife and my fingernails. it comes right off...took about 15 minutes. just get some goo gone stuff or rubbing alcohol to clean off the glue after and ur set.

I THINK he is saying he wants to cut the plastic out, not how to get the letters off....but i could be wrong

No . He want the center tail light to light up when he is on the brakes.
Easily done. Take the panel oput soak it in really hot water and then begin to pry apart or you can bake it like the headlights. There is on thing though that piece on the red has a gray paint coating on the inside so that light doesnt go thruogh, so you have to sand it off and then polish it up and make it smooth and transparent.then get stickers that spell eclipse or turbo and lay them on the inside backwards. Then respray inside of red panel, let dry peel off stickers, etc.... Then use a dremel to cutout 2 holes in the black back piece for two bulbs or whatever lights your gonna use, I'll leave the rest up to you. I ve been contemplating doing this for over a year now. Both on my talon and on the other talon with eclipse tails , but just to lazy . So know one of thenm is still the same and the other has supra tails. I very happy someone has considered doing this cant what to see finiched pics.

i wasn't asking about the letters, i love the eclipse word. i was trying to cut out the shape of the letter on the middle piece and somehow wire up lights behind the middle piece so whenever i apply brake, not only my taillight light up but also the word "eclipse".

well for one, you will have to put some bulbs in the center piece, since none are there already.
i would just paint the entire section like i would anything else, but with the letters on it. after the paint dries, just pop off the letters. it has been done before...i think it was a couple years ago on dsmtalk though. still, a search might turn something up.

or ya can just leave the letters on -- make it light up and the letters should block the light
it would still say eclipse.
