A lot of my V8 buddies have cutouts on their cars. I realize they probably aren't gaining much from them, but it got me thinking. The reason my car has a hard time racing off a roll on the street is because all the lag. The turbo gets spooled by exhaust gases coming from the exhaust manifold. Now if I were to take my O2 housing or downpipe even and put a cutout there ... then take the open part of the cutout and loop it back up to the exhaust manifold so the same exhaust gases will pass through the turbo again would that help with spooling issues? Has this been tried? Is it just too crowded under the hood to even run a setup such as this? Just an idea that kinda got me thinking.
