alright, the 90 tsi that i'm thinking about getting has a messed up front bumper and rear bumper, i was thinking about just getting a body kit as long as this is possible. I want to cut off the edge pieces so that the front bumper looks more stock but still has the larger opening and stuff, heres a pic of the front bumper im thinking about getting

If you look all the way to the right on the bottom of the picture, you can see the fin thingy sticking out, yea, I want that gone, then I want to sand the area and make it all smooth and stuff, then primer, then paint, you know the routine, but I really want to take off those fin things, can I do this??? See I didn't know if I could because I've seen cracked fiberglass bumpers and there are layers of that cloth stuff in them, didn't know if this made it impossible or something, thanks in advance guys. :talon:

yes you can cut them of but you will need to fill in the holes left from cutting them out with some fibrglss matting i amgoing to do the same thing to my bomex rear bumper where the hole for my mufler is for it is to small for my cannon sized muff :) it is just gonna take more work than you expected and iff you have never worked with fiberglass it is still doable just make shure you sand off all the gellcoaing in the surrounding area or the resin wont stick i found out the hard way it is time consumming to but it will save lots of money if you do it yourself

yea thats why I wanted it, it looks pretty much stock, but with the benefits of having a bigger opening for an intercooler and stuff. Don't you just hate when people get 1gs and put the dragonz/ninja bumpers on, ewwww. :talon:
