Custom Halo's

So, I bought my 2gb headlights from ebay and they came with halos. My only gripe is, the halo is on the low beam, and when driving you can't see the halo at all. If I were to take apart the headlights, how could I setup another halo on the high beams? So when driving, it is a true bmw-style w/the halo being on both headlights, seeing the highbeam halo (wire to side markers) but having the driving lights on. I've seen it done before, but the person didn't reply to my question.

before going to all this trouble you can wire the halo part to just the fog/corner light. that way when you turn just those lights on you will have the halo with no head light. i just did this and it looks great. the power wire for the corner light is green with white stripe.(on my rs 97) and the black is ground. also i would test the halo on a 12v source cause my wires were backwards. black was 12v and red was ground.(stupid huh) good luck

I think the original poster is saying that the halos are impossible to see when the driving projector low beams are on, since the halo is so close to the beam. BMW halos can usually be seen around the headlight as a seperate circle, plus as another halo on the unused hi-beam light. I have mine hooked up to the corner lights and the halo will come on with parking lights, but once the headlights are on, they pretty much disappear in the glare. Disappointing, but there are times in the twilight when I just run the halos and it looks pretty cool.

Yea, you got it exactly right. I want that EXTRA halo around the hi-beams. I usually do run with just the halos at dusk, but cops still pull me over and I just tell them I forgot to hit the switch all the way on
