Custom Exhaust - O2 Options?

I just got my Apexi N2 muffler in yesterday (3" inlet). I have the mandrel bent elbows. What should I do about the O2 housing? Should I eliminate it and have the ship tap into the flexible downpipe for the O2 sensor? or should I get an external dump O2 housing? I want to go with a full turbo back.

It's my understanding that by having the external bump the wastegate gasses are externally dumped increasing horsepower by preventing turbulence in the exhaust stream.

I doubt it is... I will only be using the talon for the track and for fun... so I don't care.
