Current problem with grinding noise.

Ok so a little background, Bought a gsx that grinds when you on the gas, was told bad tcase.

removed the tcase and with it on a jack stand i went from first gear to second and i could hear the grinding still.

Now the car does have a bent lower control arm, the front left Curved one. the one on the very bottom that curves and bolt to under the car. the wheel is pushed back. would the axle being in a bind cause Grinding?

Im just hoping its not the transmission its self. but the trans shifts perfect without any issues.

Not likely on jack stands. Unbolt it and see.

Have you checked the TOB? Does the noise go away at all when you push in the clutch?

The noise is almost gone with clutch is pressed in and when you let off the gas,.

only on acceleration is the grind present. but since the wheel is pushed back, the tire is touching the fender, the axle looks like its in a bind. was thinkin maybe that was the issue.

how about when you turn one way or the other ...seems like lots of issues ...check to see if the axle can still travel on it's splines into the trans axle ...should be some play there if not then ....

LCA compression pops, its bent and one bolt. the axle and the strut is also pushed back with the wheel on a angel.

I think you ansewered you own questiuon. You clearly have some major damage to your control arm if the wheel is on a wierd angle.

Fix the control arm. Firstly for you own safety, secondly b/c its very likely the culprit.
