Crushed BOV

Alright i crushed my 1G BOV and i tested it with a vacume pump. It opens up at 22Hg is that alright to run on a completly stock 2G. I don't have a boost gauge as of yet would it be safe to put this on my car and not worry about it?

Actually the BOV starts to open at 19Hg about 1/16" i dunno if that is enough to let out air, i'm not sure at how open a BOV gets when it opens up

It should be okay. The BOV doesn't create or cause higher boost, but if you hope to run more than stock boost, the stock bov becomes a weak point. If you haven't over-crushed it, you will see no performance change after crushing it.

Thanks i figured it would be okay, but without a Boost gauge yet to view whats going on i didn't want something to happen. Thanks for putting my fears to rest. I'll be installing my crushed 1G BOV as soon as Dejon tool ships me my flang. Thanks
