crushed 1g BOV on stock setup?

I was going to purchase a 1g for my 2g DD, and I found a crushed one in classifieds. This is for a bone stock setup, and I realize there are no benefits to having a crushed bov in this case. I want to know if it will cause any problems with stock boost, or if I should just hold out for an uncrushed BOV.

It's not going to HURT anything per say, but anything less than 10psi it'll just flutter, if it opens at all which is a minor annoyance at its worst.

If you are truly stock (OE rubber/plastic piping), then your best bet is going to be the Evo MR bypass valve (the metal one). This is a truly OEM install without the need for an adapter. It installs the exact same as your plastic bypass valve. It is a VERY effective bypass valve and does not require modification with a hammer to work properly at stock or even up 25psi.

Yes I have an evo X valve on my Tsi awd. I got it for $45 and I love it. Unfortunately they're much harder to come by for that price, and 1gs go for $20 all day long. I can get a used adaptor for $10 so I figured I'd try it.
Edit: I just won an uncrushed 1g for $23 shipped off eBay. Do I have to use a gasket, or will rtv gasket maker be suffice?
