I have a laser rs-t, and have started to drive it to work. I don't have cruise, so i was looking to get something cheap.

I tried to search but couldn't find any info on anything related to rostra.

I'm looking at this kit: Rostra Aftermarket Cruise Control Kit (Universal) Rostra 250-1223

Has anyone installed this in their 1g? Was it easy/hard?

would it be difficult to install a stock one from a junkyard? I figure this one would be easier. If i go with a used stock one, do i need a new throttle body?

thanks in advance

Try this place mitsubishi graveyard there number is 631-484-3085 or you can visit there website Mitsubishi Graveyard and go to contact us email them what you need and they will let you know a price. I have ordered parts from them in the past pretty good prices and fast shipping if they have.

Hi,
I don´t know the aftermarket product.
But I wouldn´t choose any, if there exist one originally, e.g. because of the corresponding terminals etc.
It will be much easier to connect the stock cruise control.

You should have a look at the different types, if you choose a stock one, because the cruise control unit of a DSM without ABS is different compared to a DSM with ABS.
Both look different and sit on different places at the engine bay.

Depends on what year his Laser is: the 90 mounted the control box on the passenger strut tower with the usage of the double throttle cables-one cable from pedal to control box and the other cable from control box to linkage...like mine is set up as.

'91 and up had the control box mounted on the firewall and still needed the double throttle cables.

the RS-T should had cruise installed from the factory being the higher line of the Laser.

Hi,
so what about Eclipse, Talon or Lasers from 1990 with ABS + Cruise control?
Would be interesting to know how the engine bay looks at those cars!

I guess they weren´t built LOL

Thank´s
