i need help...i wanna remove anything having to do with my cruise control...can anyone help me

Thanks
Chris

Try DSM.org or Vfaq.com, one or both of those should have an answer for you. You will need to obtain a Non-Cruise Throttle cable though. You could probably get one from a junkyard pretty cheap.

It's pretty easy. Buy a non-cruise throttle cable, just yank out the big cruise control box and the vacuum stuff for it, and put the non-cruise cable in.

I cut the old cable to take it out, but it was pretty easy. Getting the old cable out of the pedal assembly took a couple minutes, but that's not too bad.

alright guys thanks for the help...probably gonna start on that today....thanks again Chris

I removed my cruise control. One of the best mods I ever did. :thumb:

It'll remove about 8 pounds of weight, free up some room under the hood, and it'll make you car feel like a fresh summers breeze all over. :)

There's a difference in throttle responce?

Huh? Why would that happen?

Because of less cable friction. It has no effect on power, it just feels more responsive. When I did the swap I had to readjust how much pressure I put on the gas pedal because I kept overdoing it.

When i started my car up it idled at 4K rpm, i quickly grabbed the rachet and loosened the tensioner bolts LOL. Yeah much cleaner pedal feel. I can see my rear motor mount now

Becasue your going from 3 throttle cables to one throttle cable.

Yes mine was broken so I removed it, but had it been working I would still have removed it.

The main issue is the crappy design which cause the cable to bind up.
