crossmember needed?

almost no topics except like 5 were returned when i searched and they almost ahd no realation to my question. so my question is i have head some people say that the front crossmember is sometimes removed. the bar that goes from under the radiator and has teh mount on it. dont know if im naming it right? but i have heard of some people removing this and not having any problems is this true? and whats a benefit of doing this?

No do not remove it you engine will move around too much and cause traction losses along with a long list of broken parts. The cross member they are talking about is on the AWD's the one that is on the driver side and does not suport anything. Leave the one that the engine mounts too in place.
