Alright well I got lazy and used an air wrench to put in on the the bolts on my fuel rail. It cross threaded then snapped. There is a little bit of the bolt above the hole but not much. I don't think that an easy out would work because it is cross threaded. What is the proper way to drill out a bolt then retap it. What bit to use, etc. Or is there another option. Thanks

Drill it out, try not to destroy the original hole as much as possible, the bigger you make the hole the larger bolt your going to need. Tap and die is your friend, if helicoils work on vavle covers they will on fuel rails.

Possible option, get a dremel like took, and slot, whats left of the protruding bolt, and then put a serious screwdriver+big armed dude on it and might get lucky.

Good luck friend :dsm:

I agree with the Dremel tool suggestion. I have done it before, and it has worked, but it depents on how hard you have it in there. Otherwise, drill it out. I would suggest using a center punch on it first so you drill it straight. This is why you should ALWAYS start the bolt by hand first. It only takes a few extra seconds, but saves you so much. Not trying to preach, since I am sure you know this now. :talon:
