hello all , i have my car gutted for the winter doing a fuel pump, rewire, cdplayer, gauges etc. and was about to spend around 4 grand on turbo, clutch , injectors, well , you know the works , i was reading a thread on crankwalk and found i may have it , and before i go off and blow 4g i wanna know if i should do my 6 bolt swap first , i can recall three times where my clutch pedal wouldnt come back up like all the way , and the first time , when i pressed down it wouldnt let me shift , so i pulled over killed it and tried again , same , once more , it worked , the next two , wouldnt come back up , wouldnt let me shift , but i just sat there stomping on the cluth for a minute and started working , does this sound like it ? no other symptoms other then difficulty in shifting, i did a search for like acouple hours and found this
"Since the clutch places pressure on the crankshaft, many owners have reported clutch or shifting problems associated with the walking crank. Having the clutch 'stick' down on left-hand turns is often a telltale sign of crankwalk. Other symptoms include inconsistent engagement height, poor or rough engagement, difficulty shifting, ticking noises and varying pedal height or pressure. Another possibility is having the engine RPM decrease significantly when the clutch pedal is down. " from the vfaq ... if someone can give me their opinion and suggestion it would be much appreciated as i dont have enough money to do both right now , thanks !
