Yeah i titled it crankwalk because most likely thats what most of you would say. I had my motor rebuilt complete with new pistons, new rings, new rods, new crank, new oil pump, water pump, and balance shafts removed. Let me give a brief history. The motor has been nothing but flawless ever since the rebuild. I dont have one complaint with the motor, i have changed my oil on time during the breakin process. I have babied it well. During my rebuild, i bought a brand new tranny from Mitsu. My clutch only has 6k miles on it (stock clutch) and i had a new throwout bearing put in while the tranny was being put in. For some reason, when my clutch was installed last year they forgot to put a new throwout bearing with it. Anyways, my concern is that when i press the clutch down, i hear a slight ticking noise that can not be heard untill you listen real close with your driver door open or hood open. It happens only when I press the clutch, when i let out it goes away. I even tried to give it some gas while pushing the clutch down to see if the noise increases with RPM and it did, very very quietly. I do not have any other crankwalk symptoms, my gears dont grind, my clutch pedal doesnt stick to the floor during left/right turns, my idle isnt bad, my car doesnt run like ass. I have noticed this ticking noise when i had 500 miles on the motor but never payed attention because i thought it was probably just belts making the noise. I now have 2100 miles on it and my car has been nothing but good to me. Ever since ive been reading threads about crankwalk, this ticking noise is starting to worry me. Like i said, my motor runs like a champ, i have no complaints. Its just this slight ticking noise when i press the clutch in that worrys me. Also, i got underneath the car near the driver side of the engine and looked at the crank pulley to see if it moves or wobbles while my friend pushed in the clutch and there was absolutely no movement. Any ideas what i should also check for, or am i just paranoid??
Thanks
