Hello everyone. I cant seem to find a good crank locally, unfortunately this is all I need to get my talon back on the road so I am at a stand still. I called my local dealership for a quote and they quoted 733.41 with my discount. Can anyone point me to any other vendors that is a cheaper than this? I know that oem mitsu cranks are expensive, I was hoping I can get better price elsewhere including shipping. Thanks.

i know im not close but i have a spare 1.8 but the front sprocket is stuck on the crank and my impact wont even take it off if i can get it off id let the crank go for cheap any ideas?

pretty sure the 1.8 and 2.0 cranks are different?

I would like to go oem since I plan on higher hp later. what are disadvantages on reman vs oem?

Reman is OEM. What makes it a REMAN is they (if needed) turn down the journals to make them fresh, and include bearings. They try to keep around .010" under cut which won't hurt anything at all. You can go as much as .030" without really having any problems durring the life of your engine. Just call them up and tell them you want a reman, which bearings you want and make sure you get one that is .010/.010 and nothing more than .020/.020. Trust me it's a good deal.

If the local dealership is quoting $733.41 you might as well go to an Eagle Forge crankshaft if you're going to modify your car later.

That is a good deal, however the title states stroker... I am looking for direct stock replacement. I want to be able to just drop it in ready to go. I would think that I would have to change some things around to make that eagle crank work with my set up. I did not do new rods/ring/pistons and at this time I dont plan to. I have spend over my budget allows and having to do extra work and parts will not work on top of getting new crank. Unless I am wrong.

I got my crank turned at a local machine shop for $125 and when i got it back it looked brand new. When i got my oversized bearings and installed and checked my oil clearences they were exactly in spec Take your crank to your local machine shop and they will tell you if you crank is usable and if it is thats probably your most cost effective solution.
