edmonton,
Last year I was in a collision with my 90 talon, (front left corner), The impact of the collision moved the engine engough for the crankshaft pully to touch the inner fender of the car, just slight enough to take afew outer peices of the pully off, It did not get squished or bent.
So my question is this: I now have a 90 gst, in the spring I plan to swap the motor out of my crashed car into my current car. Will the crankshaft most likly be ok?, or because the pully was touched abit, will that cause the crankshaft to move and therefor have a dead engine?
Is their anyway I can know if this engine will be able to run before I try and swap it in, in the spring. reeason for doesing so is that it had a new tbelt and 58kmiles.
I will probably have the engine pulled by sunday, I have never pulled an engine before and am learning alot, its not really as complecated as I initally thought.
