I have posted this question before but did not get answered anyways. I am rebuilding my 420a to be able to handle a 50 trim turbo. I am redoing the bottom end, but I was thinking maybe a 2.2 stroker kit, anybody make them cheaper than Howell? Otherwise I will just stick to the performance kit, anybody else make them with better service? If I stick with the performance kit how much horsepower can my stock crankshaft hold? I want to use a DSmlink and emailed them asking if I would be able to use it on a N/T they said its possible if I install a turbo ECU, how hard is this? Can I use any turbo ECU from 95 and up aslong as I have the 95 Eprom Chip and get it resocketed? Then for the dumb question if I have the dsmlink with palmpilot would I still need a boost control unit, air fuel gauge etc. Dont worry I am going to run 650 fuel injectors with larger fuel pump ertc. What about axles?

Howell is a good company, just roll with them. Im sitting around 400 crank power right now with a howel rebuild kit for the bottom end. Don't use DSMlink with our cars. Get an emanage instead. Don't try and put in a turbo ecu. Wont work.

I started snapping axles when i broke 300whp.. however.. i have sticky tires, motor mounts, lsd.. full suspension.. so...

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I ordered my performance end from them with the extreme rods aswell as the camshafts Crane 0014 420A Street Cam for Turbo Engines whould be here in a week or so. I also went with the greddy e-manage and profec e-01. Now for a few more questions, Can I still use a normal boost gauge with the profec (I know two is unnessesery but I still like the look of the gauge). Would I still need cam gears with the camshafts that I got? What type of manifold are you using? I am waiting for a tubular external wastegate manifold from fastfabrications.com, the only one I could find!! Do you have a different air-intake manifold? If you do what type? Says that you are running 310 cc injectors?? I thought I have to get at least 650cc or am I just being dumb? How did you run your FMIC piping or did you get a kit with yours? I really appreciate the help anything else that you can give me advise on or warn me about would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Chris

yesy ou can still use a normal boost gauge.

you could get cam gears if you wanted to adjust them.

im using hrc's manifold.

no i don't have an air intake manifold.. i run the stock one.

im running 440s.. my profile here is a little out of date. www.gsturbo.com is my website, click our cars, then James for my mods.

you can run high injectors with the emanage.

i bought an hrc stage 2 then upgraded from there.

you bought cams for a turbo? you are still supposed to buy cams for the 420a, not the 4g63.

They are made for the 420a I am sure:confused: heres a link:
http://www.modernperformance.com/dcx/crane_cams_for_eclipse_420a.shtml

I got the 431-0014

Thanks for replying so soon!!!:thumb:
So would you say I should run with the 650cc's? This is all for a PTE 50 trim. What AR should you suggest for the turbo? I am still debating on this. Thanks again.

I like those pics of your car in the rain:thumb: :thumb: You have a really nice setup one of these days...mine:cry:

I joined that site and said you reffered me if you dont mind

.63 or a 70 A/R I thought about the E-manage but I think it can only handle 20 or 30% bigger inj.....??? I can't remenber BUT anywayZ I went with the AEM EMS ..YES I know that they don't make one for the 420a so I ordered one for a civic and I am going to just match up the pin out's.
Call up www.driveshaftshop.com for the axles
AS soon as I build the bottom end I'll get 850-1000cc injs somewere between there but well see
Good Luck:dsm:
