Isn't that kind of risky for your bearings? I know they are lubed but you have no oil pressure there.

I don't think that it would hurt the bearings as they aren't seeing much friction or heat. Neat lil' vid. What kind of build are you doing?

there is virtually no contact with the bearings. just an example of low rotational friction on a properly assembled bottom end. Plus if there is any problem with friction I'd prefer to find out now rather then later.

block specs:
turned balance shaft
heat risers removed from block
stroker crankshaft balanced
polished clevite bearings
block line honed
deck leveled
bore machined .020 over
thrust bearing modified

with the je pistons installed and total seal rings in place it requires three fingers to turn. :D and thats not due to over clearance. for more specs on whats in the engine visit my website: www.cardomain.com/id/jltcats

viewing the website will explain: Im using alignment dowels on the mains.

plus the mains are a one piece girdle system that in order to move would have to move the top half of the block as well WTF. and the factory bolts are not the same diameter as the hole in the caps anyway. It really isnt an issue.
