Crankcase Pressure Solution

I rigged up something that fixed my dipstick popping and oil shooting problem. I figured i would share it cause im not sure if ive seen it done before.

I bought a straight fitting to replace the pcv valve.

I used a small cone to put over my breather valve.

I hooked an old pcv up to the intake manifold hose that i used to have hooked up to my pcv on my valve cover just to block it off, but it still sucks from the engine bay a little.

Hooked a vaccum line up to the new pcv straight fitting and into a catch can and the other end to my intake pipe (before the turbo).


This fixed my problem so if you need to help to do this or a picture i can.

Had you tried replacing the dipstick O-rings?

yea i tried 2 pcv valves, one OEM and one autozone one. I had a summit racing dipstick and a OEM one. NOthing helpped.

You could route both to a catch can using the npt nipple then instead of a breather on the catch can run both to a check valve then the intake..

The can will keep much more oil out of the intake...

Honestly the best lower dollar solution is a nipple, a T fitting, a catch can and a salvage yard electric vaccum pump.. Put the nipple in place of the PCV. Connect the VC fittings to the T. Then run the third port to the vaccum pump.. Route the vaccum pump outlet to the catch can.
