These don't have anything to do with engine balance, and everything to do with harmonics due to twisting of the crankshaft everytime a cylinder fires. Only engines that wouldn't need a dampened pulley are ones that have a short crankshaft that is made of a material that isn't "hard".MitzMadness said:Ya but I don't think every engine has a dampened pulley on it.
