The key has sort of been destroyed along with the keyway on my crank. Is this repairable withouth removing the crank from the block? The engine was recently rebuilt is why I don't want to pull the crank.

I would say no. You would need to machine the snout. Does a new key still fit? I have had luck by filing the crank and still held tight. That was on an old Chevy. Get a new key and try it out. Your front pulley is probably shot and trashed.

Weld it with a mig welder. How lose is it the key way? Just make sure you have it centered in the correct position
