hello everyone, I have a 95 talon esi (auto)... finally got everything set to start my talon up after a month of it sitting, and when i went out to start her, she is turning over but just wont start, have replaced all basic stuff prior to attempting to get her started today (starter, coil(msd), wires(msd), plugs(ngk v-power) replaced the vavle cover gasket due to oil that was previously in plug chambers, fuel filter, thermostat, oil and oil filter, and just basic stuff....after it wouldnt start i took my key out for a bit and then turned it to the acc position 3 times so my cel would flash dance me....I got 12,54,55 in that order. 54 is my camshaft position sensor....so could that be keeping it from starting? thats the only thing i can think of, plugs have spark, coil is brand new, new filters and i hear my fuel pump kicking on so i know its not a fuel issue....this is prolli a stupid issue to bring up because its going to have a simple solution more than likely LOL but im getting frustrated . Thanks for your input everyone .

Hi Talon! Do you have spark? That's the first thing I would check.I'm a thirty year experienced auto tech rebuilding a 2G I got for free.(That's why I'm on here). The Cam Sensor can keep her from starting for sure...Let me know,I live on the east side and will help you over the phone if needed.

yeah i have spark, fuel pump kicks on, all fuses are good, battery is up to proper voltage....this has me stumped...waiting on my new camshaft position sensor to come and i still need to check my asd relay... any other ideas?

On my last two cars I had change crank and cam sensors after I did the replacements of all that you already listed. Basically half of a complete tune up. But cam and I think crank hold you back from starting. Cam is easy to swap because ins right on top easy to get to. The crank on a 420 is at the bottom by passenger side right by the oil filter. Two bolts for crank. Just be carfull where you get the sensors. Some aftermarket places like napa I had to cut resoder the new wires becus the harness plugs do not match up but work fine for me. Just dont get the wires mixed up.
