couple questions on 1gen eclipse

Ok first would be engine related. Every now and then whenever i crank the car up i get a really loud squeel from under the hood. I don't believe its the timing belt but could be mistakened. Any suggestions on what/how to check?

Second, as im cruising there is a slight squeek that sounds like its coming from the front driver side under the hood somewhere. any ideas?

Third, my headlights dont match up with the hood{like they dont "seal"} the headlights are sunk back and the hood sits in front of the top of the headlights, any way to fix it?

car is a 94 eclipse GS

I don't think I've seen a 1g locally that doesn't squeal when you start it up.
Does the squeel go away when you begin to drive? Just look at the belts. Check for play or tension. If they're ripped up replace them. You'll know if they're bad. Trust me.
Describe the under the hood driveside squeek a little more. Does it get louder as your driving? Does it stop when you come to a stop?
Adjust your hood.

Squeeking belt is most likely your power steering belt. You can start it up and spray some water on it and see if it goes away right away. As for the other squeeking we would probably need more details.

As for the other squeek, It gets louder as you drive but doesn't sound wind related. Also it keeps doin it when your stopped just not as loud. its really hard to explain...

Does it sound like metal on metal?
In my old 2g when i first got it, it would sound like that until i got new front rotors.

could be a possibility. the rotors look like they might be originals from 94...

if it sounds like metal on metal and its constant it sounds to me like your pads are shot and your grinding into the rotor

If the noise is still there when completely stopped it can't be your pads. Does it get louder with higher rpm's? Does it get louder with higher speed? Louder when colder?

i guess really just louder as speed increases. its definately not the pads, i checked them less than 4 days ago when i had my tires off adjusting the coil-overs.

i think im just gonna put it up as somethin it just does and forget about it...atleast until my mechanic buddy gets some time to look at the car.

Really you shouldn't. It could lead to problems that could be prevented. Example: Bad Timing Belt, Kid doesn't want to replace it, kid continues to drive on it, belt snaps, pistons slap valves, need new head.

i think it might possibly be the driver side wheel well...its quite loose and im thinkin it could be flapping and hitting the actual body causing the sound. Will take it all the way off tonight after work and go for a short drive to see if it stops.

Anyone know the best way to re-attach it? I was thinkin self tapper screws and a drill?
