Hey guys my gf's car just stoped running the other day and seems to be tossing code 43 which is the misfire code so i started with the spark and worked my way to the fuel. As i was changing the fuel filter i had my gf turn the key to see if gas was running though.Well nothing happen so i had her turn it over and some gas start to run out then slowly drip away but it doesnt seem like its enough. My dad took a look at it from there and he said that there should be a counstint fuel flow? And i can hear the pump kick on so idk if its the pump or not thats why i came here.... thanks for any help guys

Check the sock on the fuel pump. Ive seen them get clogged some times with certain additives that have been added to fuel lately. Also check the hoses coming from the fuel pump. Also if it is the fuel pump and you were planning on doing mods later, you could always go ahead and install a walbro 255l HP pump and a AFPR to prepare for the future.

i took the pump out and the little bag on it was like full of rust i guess that might be it? and what is the AFPR?

Aftermarket Fuel Pump Regulator.

You say it was full of rust? I would replace it and also if you can try to clean out any rust you see in the tank.

If im not mistaken, a 420A fuel pump comes in in the "ON" position and the 4g63 come on during cranking.
