I just built a six bolt swap with 2g. I have had it idleing for about 10 minutes. Once it gets warm a white billowy smoke comes up from under the manifold and turbo side of the O2 housing. These are the only two places smoking.

I drenched these gaskets with the copper gasket spray until it was nearly dripping. I think it is burning off all the extra copper gasket spray that squeezed out during the torque of these gaskets. I sprayed then immediately applied them. The smoke is white billowy does not smell sweet and does not come out of the tail pipe.

Any help appreciated!

Any time that you put a turbo, o2 housing, and manifold together with new gaskets, some gasket adhesive (like copper spray), and anti-seize (you did use anti-seize didn't you?) then you're going to get a lot of smoke at first. You will also get a ton of smoke the first time that you really get the car hot. If the majority of the smoke doesn't stop be the end of the day then you may have a problem but when I replaced my turbo I had intermittent smoke for a week.

If you get a ton of smoke out of the tailpipe it may be that your oil drain is blocked either completely or partially.

Moly lube and anti seize are basically the same thing just marketed differently I believe. They both have Molybdenum Di-Sulfate which lowers the co-efficient of friction by alot and withstands heat very well. When you use Moly-lube or anti seize you must back down on the torque or you will snap bolts.

An example is ARP says head studs should be torqued to 120ft-lbs if you use motor to lube the bolts but if you use the supplied moly lube the head studs should only be torqued to 80-85ft-lbs. Big difference.
