COP Setup for a 91 on a 90

I purchased a COP setup off somebody online, and before purchasing i didnt check to see if it was a 3 or 4 pin connector (From what im reading online). If it does end up being a 3pin and mines a 4pin does anybody know what i would have to rewire on the cop setup?

If you search you will find that the 1990 four pin coil pack includes the tach filter circuit. The 1991 and up coil packs did not have the tach filter. Search for flipping ecu wires 6 and 14 to use a 1991 and up coil setup on a 1990 car.

It is an easy swap and you will be on your way to learning about your car. Good Luck.

So the 90s get the tach signal from the coil, but on 91s+ it gets it from the ECU? All i need to do is swap the 6pin and 14pin with eachother on the ECU, and then hack off the 3pin connector and wire up my 4pin connector - the wire used for the tach signal?
