Coolers??

Well ive done all the research i can for this topic... But i still havent found my answer. I dont Autocross or drag race.. I'm just looking to make my daily driver a little bit better. Do i have any fluid coolers on my car? If so, where are they located?.(if anyone has pictures, that would be helpful).. What would it happen if i remove the cooler? And if i dont have any, then would it be beneficial for me to install a cooler on the car for ps,oil or trans?

-- I have a 95 tsi 5 speed with a 6 bolt swap.

In front of your AC condensor, you should have a metal loop of tube. That's your power steering cooler. Your engine oil cooler is a liquid-cooled disc that your oil filter screws onto. Some people opt to replace this with an air/liquid cooler instead.

That's about it. Neither of these really require upgrading too much. I don't even have my power steering cooler loop anymore.

Well, that would be true if the car still had the original engine. They say it has a 6-bolt swap in it so there is a chance that it has a '90 oil filter housing in which IS the air cooled one.

So OP, do you know if it has a '90 oil filter housing?

No. I dont know if its a 90's housing. But if you dont use your power steering cooler. How can i remove thoses pipe infront of my a/c condencer?...Because personally i have NEVER heard of a power steering pump overheating....So i wont mind getting rid of it..Plus ill be getting a front mount soon and i know im going to have problems with that line.

All I did was take the feed line to the cooler and reroute it where the cooler exit line went back into the reservoir. You just bypass the cooler. I have some pics of this procedure somewhere on my laptop, and I think I might have posted them here when I did my FMIC write-up. In any case, you still might be able to just put the cooler tubes behind the front upright support and still have enough room for a FMIC; many people go this route. However, the cooler lines on the driver's side of the bumper might make pipe routing difficult.

I wasn't aware that the OP had a 6-bolt swap at the time I posted. In that case, it still most likely has the stock liquid cooled oil cooler, but yes, there is a chance it has the 90 oil cooler, which is what I currently have.
