coolent temp sensor CTS

im still not able to start my car cold without put a little gas in the throttle body. i have fix the wires going to the CTS and still no help. i read on vfaq (i think it was vfaq) that the way to test is to check ohms at normal room temp then to put in a bowl of hot water and check ohms again. can i just check the ohm with it in car when cold the run it to like 85 degrees c (sorry thats how my gauge reads) then turn to off when hot and test again? seems like it would be same thing and would same me from getting in there to take out sensor

yes thats possible can you get it to run long enough to warm up? if your gonna pull it out you might as well spend $20 for a new one.

yea thats what im thinking. and yea after i get it running its fine it just starting it the first time sucks

I just replaced mine because it was low side of resistance, wasnt my problem after all but it would of been my next issue.

Yes just replace it and you will be glad you did for as cheap as they are.

yea my resistance(ohms) of my coolant temp sensor is very low got 5 ohms when cold and when hot is like 10 ohms there suppose to be like 5.2K (thousand) ohms if im not mistaken when the temps at 0 degrees Celsius
