So connecting from the o2 sensor are 2 wires, that clip in right under the rad cap. Both of those wires were super brittle, and snapped right at the plug in. Is there any similar cars other than lasers, talons or eclipses that have a similar component that I can steal those wires from? One of the wires i got put back on, but the other controls the temp guage, and it is a lost cause now. The car runs super rough and the check engine light is staying on. Not too sure what to do. Help :ohdamn:

Check with your local parts store ans see if they have a universal wiring adapter for O2 sensors that you can purchase. I know that most parts stores have universal O2's for sale that come with DIY wiring. Perhaps they may have one that they are sending back defective that they can give you the wires from.

He's not talking about the o2 sensor plug, he's talking about the coolant temp and gauge sensors. This is a very common problem. You can use female spade connectors, they fit perfect and are available just about anywhere.

You can see mine in this picture.

I just pulled some from another dsm in the junk yard. However the female spade connectors will work fine. That is what my brother did when his connectors fell apart.

Female spade connectors are perfect fit for both plugs? Because each are a different size. One of them, if it us unplugged, the car will not even run. I got that one put back together but it is super ghetto rigged. The coolant temp guage wire is still not connected so I can not tell what temp my engine is at, it runs super rough, and the check engine light stays on.

So i went and picked up some weather proof female disconnectors from partsource. They seem to fit right onto the connectors on the car, but I just want to double check that they will work out, before I crimp them. If so, thank you guys so much for helping me out! :D
