greetings.... again!

On my 2g, can i just "loop" a 3/8 hose to block off water running to my throttle body? I took this car apart, and the machine shop took 2 weeks to rebuild my cylinder-head, so while i was waiting, i figured I would get rid of the stock 1996 balooning, paper-thing hoses with new ones.. well, now it's been 2 weeks, and there are (2) fittings on the Throttle Body, (1) fitting on the tranny-side of the water piping that runs to the waterpump, and where the coolant block attaches with an o-ring. i have both heater-core lines hooked up. Should i simple loop the remaining (2) fitting near the water-block, and leave the lines alone on the TB? thanks.

They are for the FIAV. People usually just install a block off plate but's it's purpose is to aid cold starts. This is solely personal preference, but you were asking if it will hurt anything no that it won't.

Bonez07...
so just leave the fittings on the TB alone, and loop the remaining 2 fitting's? And if i read your reply right, "No.. it won't hurt anything" :hellyeah:

thank You! :) :) :)

If I'm not mistaken they don't make a block off plate for 2g's. I actually did the FIAV mod on my car.

Yeah, im going to eliminate the coolant running around/through the TB. Just one less thing to pop off or loosen up and let me overheat, or worse than that, let me sit. ehehhe ive owned this talon since 02/2010 and its only let me sit once, and that was my fault. Here's what im wondering..

Can i simply "leave the 2 fittings on the TB, alone?? or do ihave to loop them, due to coolant running from somewhere else.. that im not aware of. I know im going to loop the nipple coming straight-up from the Water Tube, to the nipple next to the heater-hose line on the water block. Since you have already done the mod, how did you do it?? :)

If you removed the lines to the TB but don't change anything, your idle will be really fast once the car warms up because the FIAV won't close (unless the FIAV was never working to begin with). The FIAV is more important for driveability than the ISC from my experience (I usually unplug the ISC because they're usually shot anyways).

I rebuilt my top end, and while the machine shop was doing my head,i started pulling off hoses, due too balooning, and just getting extremely flexible, and i dont want to break on a dark night, in the middle of nowhere, since a hose blew and my temp is outrageous.. :(

And now, i forget the hose routing.. ;-/ theres (2) nipples on the TB, and (1) off of the water tube, (pointing straight up), and then 1 little one, near the water block. A total of (4) fittings, and i dont know where they go, so i figured i would just eliminate them, but.. my idle has always been alright, and if the FIAV makes my idle high, under normal operating temps, i will NOT eliminate it. I dont have time for a block off plate, but "Looping" the lines, and by-passing the coolant lines is more simple than not knowing where to install repalcement coolant lines. All my lines on my turbo are new, oil-cooler lines are new, except these 2 hoses near the TB. Any help is greatly appreciated..
