Coolant in oil

Hello everyone I'm new to this and don't really know how to search for anything.... Sorry if this is common. Ok so I am getting coolant in my oil and there is antifreeze leaking from around the oil filter and the housing. Now I know that coolant runs throughout the housing and I seen a post for almost the same thing but oil was in the coolant could this work the opposite way? Also if I were to do a block test to check the head gasket would I still get exhaust gases in the coolant system if the off is bad?..

Is the oil filter housing the only spot you know for sure you're having a leak? How are you able to tell that you're for sure getting coolant in your oil?

It's not 100% but it looks like there is antifreeze coming out from where the oil filter mates with the housing and I can see it on the dip stick and when I changed my oil it was green mind you I recently bought this car so I have no clues what was done to it the pervious owner had it sitting for at least a couple years

I would do a coolant flush and an oil change, but before doing so, pull the spark plugs to see if there's coolant on top of the pistons or along the spark plug wells, basically seeing if the head gasket is bad or not. As for the OFH, see if you have bad colant lines above it. The OFH may not be leaking, but being leaked onto.

I pulled the plugs I didn't see coolant but I'll check again I didn't look in the cylinder. Wouldn't it all burn anyway?

Most likely yes, but there's always a posibility. Any seepage around the head gasket out side the engine?

Is the car running hot ? pull the lower timing cover, it maybe from leaking water pump.

It's time to do a leak down test. It will help you understand your car and what the state is currently.

If your oil filter housing oil cooler is punctured the coolant and oil can mix from that too. But to check for leaks on that you will have to remove it, then place the cooler under water and blow air through the oil passages and look for bubbles. If it's really bad you should be able to see it with your eye.

The reason I am leaning towards this is because you mention coolant coming from ofh and the only thing I can think of is oil cooler.

Yeah I'm planning on doing a leak down test soon once I get my hands on one. Have you taken off the oil cooler before is it a pain to take off

Yeah it's pretty easy. Remove your oil filter, then unbolt the oil filter bolt and then go grab you nice beverage of your choosing. Kick your feet up and relax.

Drain oil and coolant first though, or you're gonna have a bad time..

Ok guys I did a block test today and it come up negative meaning the head gasket is good so is the oil cooler the only other place oil and coolant mix?
