Hey guys, I just rebuit my 7 bolt, for the second time now (.040 over, BSEK). The entire engine was taken to a machine shop and everything necessary was done and in order for a rebuild. When I drained the oil the 2nd time it looked like chocolate milk, of course coolant in the oil...I dont see any oil in the coolant however. Im blowing out a lot of white/gray smoke, so coolant is getting into the combustion chamber so I would think to eliminate the oil cooler being damaged. I pulled the head off yesterday and and there is nothing wrong with the headgasket (standard felpro) it seems like it was sealing up perfectly, I have ARP studs, and torqed 30-60-90. I bought a .051 MLS cometic for a bore of .040 over for when I put the head on. The intake ports looked clean and dry, dont know if that makes a difference though. The exhaust ports had a black goo as well as the spark plugs, maybe unburned fuel. However my wideband was blastin to lean... No, I did not do a compression check or leak down test :( Just because I just jumped to it being the HG. Is it possible it is a headgasket...My turbo is an oil fed turbo only. Also I used topline piston rings and did NOT check the end gap on them; they were installed just like they came out of the package...I didnt know to do so....now I need to pull the bottom end apart, file the rings down, might as well put new bearings in since water got in them.

PS: The car has only been started up 5 times, has not left the driveway, hasn't been over 4000rpm, and has had a run time of about 10 frekin minutes...

Is the headgasket most likely the problem or what else could it be!?!?!?

well you said you took it to the shop to check it out what all did they check for? is the head or block is wraped it will not seal right.
Since I pulled the head I only had a chance to check it for flatness, I know that the head is flat the block I'll have to check...The machine shop decked both head and block..

If the headgasket is good, look at the head being cracked. Awhile back my friend bought a rebuilt ebay motor and it had a pinhole in the head spewing coolant into the exhaust ports but it idled fine but was never attempted to drive. Did the machine shop do any checks for this before reassembly?

A side note, this girl at my work's sebring(v6) was spewing coolant out of the side of the head. I told her she had nothing to lose by using the $5 Copper Block Seal. Shes been driving it for 6months since no problems and its been -30deg outside recently
