Not sure about your model, but the GS's did not have the full dash harness installed to upgrade to power mirrors, even though the door harnesses each had the intermediate harness installed in them. You'll need to get a wiring diagram to trace the connectors back to make sure the factory harness is the full optioned one.

I know it's been a couple years but I'm finally getting around to doing this. The parts car I used was a GS, which actually came stock with power mirrors. So I'm assuming the GS models came fully wired for power mirrors. It's probably the RS that didn't. I'll be checking my wiring soon to make sure everything is there.
