If you are serious about the swap, just buy a junk 2g AWD and use it's parts, or sell your ride and buy an AWD.

project94tsi said:I think you should just stick with your fwd and invest in some drag slicks instead of awd swap, and if you really want a awd you can find a 1g that needs work for very cheap, i just got a 90 tsi awd with some bent exhaust valves for $700
99redgst said:Why? If you are telling him to go buy a LSD for 1k and some drag slics for a couple hundred more, your getting close to 1,500 which I have seen AWD conversions go for this much. I would much rather have AWD than an LSD and slics. I don't understand all the hating when it comes to this subject. Do you really think that your going to find a GSX in the same condition, milage as your GST for the same price? Not to mention the hassle of selling your car, finding a GSX that you like and paying sales tax on it, registration. I would much rather do a swap than go through all that crap. Of course if you don't have the mechanical know how, or are just lazy you would probably say "Just buy a new car".
project94tsi said:What are you talking about i wasnt hating at all i was stating my opinion, i of course would rather have awd too thats why i have it, I just think that it would be cheaper and more reasonable to sell your fwd and buy an awd seeing that you probably arent going to keep your car forever and when you decide to sell your gst with a gsx conversion do you think you are going to get you money back, and about the whole hassle with selling a car and buying one it would be less of a hassle/work then swapping a completely different drivetrain in your car.
