Convertible broken part, can't identify! Help!

Well I wanted to buy a new top because mine is all torn up and horrible. Now I know the connectors to the bow #2 on my top are missing, I heard there is a repair kit that uses non oem parts because the oem parts sucked? Well besides that I have the same problem as

However, no one really provided a link to a location where I could purchase this part, I don't even know what its called. My local junkyards do not have any convertible spyders so I'm screwed there. I know its not necessary but I would still like to get it fixed, only one of those brackets or bars is broken, my passenger side. Anyone know where I could go about buying one of these?

I broke 2 sets of the aluminum bars before i replaced all the plastic bushings in the top and lubricated them as well, haven't had a broken one yet.

All i can tell you is look for a complete top assembly i got one from s&m on here for like 300 shipped and also found a set for around 100 bucks that i wen t and got.

Honestly no idea what the name or part number for them are but i will tell you that they are so expensive they are not worth it.

now for the repair kit your talking about i ordered from somewhere local so i dont know were they got them.

The bar repair kit is too expensive to be worth it? The factory one's fail because the elastic junk that pulls the bow back stretches. The aftermarket is a solid steel cable that can't stretch.

Well I'm always looking for a whole assembly if it comes by, also, anyone know where I can get a quarter window roller? The plastic piece that guides the window up is broken so it doesn't go all the way up.

I'm getting the solid steel aftermarket links for the bow but its the other part that is hard to find.

Right now i need the bar repair kit, the window guide/roller piece, and that broken bar.

I was talking about the snapping of the aluminum bars.

The repair kit is half garbage anyway with the way the cable ends are they snap off after a few months and you have to remake the cable end.

I'm going on over 2 years now with the repair kit with zero problems. It's been through 2 winters in the -40's and 100F summers. They haven't had a single issue at all.

Your describing weather of the 2 years, that if your putting the top up and down your just plain out nuts.

Sure the kits are perfect if you put the top down a few times a year but go ahead and put it down a few times a week and i bet the ends will snap off and you will be recrimping a new end on the cable.

I installed these over the summer and have had no problems since. The bars are stronger but the real fix is the braided cable that replaces the crappy stock elastic straps.

The weather was just to describe the extremes that the bars have gone through. The top goes up/down multiple times per DAY in the past 2 years. Especially now that I live in AZ it's used at least 3 times per day. I think your problem was just user error during install as I see now way these can even bing to where they'd snap.

I never said the cable snapped or the bar snapped please reread what i wrote.

WEll junkyard didn't have the roof bar things, but I did find a couple hyundai 4g63 vc.

You said the cable ends come off. Again, I've been using them with zero issues. The ends have to be free to spin slightly. Sounds like user error.
