 ok so im thinking about an eclipse. i would really love a sypder gs-t but its out of the budget. because of that im looking at a NT spyder or a gs or rs eclipse 1995-1999. i DO plan on turboing the car eventually so this is why i am posting on here. do you guys think i should just save up more money and get the gst? i dont care if its a spyder or not, i just think the spyder looks a bit better  also im not looking for mad upgrades in the future or anything. i just love the sound of a turbo. im sure there are a lot of posts like this but i am so close to just buying one, i just want a bit more info. oh also does the NT eclipse come with forged pistons?

What is your budget? If you're planning on turboing a n/a spyder plan on paying a lot for a kit or piece something together. It would be easier and cheaper for you to just save up more and buy a spyder gst instead of going the other way. Are you going to do all the wrenching yourself or are you going to get a shop to do it for you?

My vote goes for saving up and getting the turbo model, you're going to save yourself a bunch of time and money by doing that. Down the road you'll be alot happier that you saved up.

Look how many times before you've short-changed yourself and gotten what you could afford before you had enough to get what you really wanted, and how many times you've back-tracked, rationalized, excused and then just cussed and re-did the whole purchase.
Do yourself a favor, start at the top. You'll find it's much cheaper to spend more in the first place.

If you're looking to upgrade in the future then do yourself a favour, and buy a turbo car. I went that route, and it's simply more fun. Not to mention easier if you ever try to do other things performance-wise. Your car's computer, then, is already calibrated to being a turbo.
I am still in the market for an SAFCII.

I want to say from personal experience, I would have took the money i used to buy my talon esi and bought either a nice 1gen or 2gen tsi, gst or gsx.

Have you considered buying a 1st gen gsx? You would save a whole lot more money than buying a 2nd gen, not to mention insurance would be cheaper.

well i like the look of that gen of eclipses. looks like ill be saving up for a bit longer. *sigh.* my budget is around 6k but after looking around looks like im gonna need a lot more than that for even a gst. also someone mentioned the gsx, im not looking into racing it or anything, just something to drive that looks good and has a turbo =] so spending more money wouldnt really tickle my fancy. ya sounds childish, i know. thanks for the help guys.
