Considering an L2R, or any Hybrid with a TO4E comp. housing on a 2G?: READ THIS!

WOW! I thaught no one was interested, then bam! Well Im glad for the mixed discussion. In my case, the turbo would not fit without at least a half inch dent in the pipe.(The spacer plate is .500") It may not affect the cooling system at all. But on the same token, if that is true, then a stock intake on a turbo with a 3" inlet makes no difference. ;) Think about it. More importantly though, there is another issue that I did not address. On of the water pipes uses a banjo bolt that goes into the head and sits directly in back of the comp housing. With the spacer plate I did not have to touch that water pipe(And re-route the water lines in the process) The turbo went in just as easy as a T-25. Im just not one for crushing the water pipe. I have found my sollution, and I think others will benefit from my post. And then again others will keep posting nonsence, and make themselves look more and more like a.... Well, you guys get the idea. Im not a "Wiseman", but please, feel free to PM with with tech questions. Im here to help.

Hey Z1500,

I thought that the L1R is supposed to be out by the end of September. Your web site says it is still in testing. Is it ready yet?

I don't like people to PM me with tech questions because 1) I may not have the answer, 2) if they have a good question then it would be good if others could see it in the forums.

Hey nice write up.

How does this affect the down pipe and exhaust placement? I am guessing the whole exhaust has to move forward a half inch. This may cause some problems with some exhausts...right?

Anyway, it is nice to see that some individuals are willing to help without being to...ah..."knowledgeable" about the maters that they are posting on.

In my case, it did not affect the exhaust at all. Im using a Buschur 3" DP, Random 3" cat, And Thermal Exhaust. Mine was cut and customed though, so it was already different.

And Once again to all. Please feel free to PM me with any question you may have. I may not have all the answeres, but I am very easy to talk to. And I just may be able to help you. BTW" Im on AIM to. You can get me there as well.

Ditto, if you have a slip fit down pipe like the buschur and slip fit cat/test pipe. You will not have a problem. The only semi problem I had, was that the O2 housing. is kinda close to the oil filter, and alternator. only because the 02 housing is HUGEOMG
