is it possible to get crimp on connector ends for all of the sensors on the engine? i am looking into re-doing my wiring harness but i don't want to do a cut and splice or solder connection. i would really like it to be more like factory and crimp on the connectors if possible, however Mitsubishi only sells the entire wire harness.

I don't think it's possible, but I'm curious as to why you'd rather crimp than solder. I've had too many issues with crimps not making good connections or having them tear off. Soldering is a much more reliable connection.

Even if you get them from DSM Graveyard, you're going to have to solder.

What we earthlings, with the crap sold over-the-counter, think of as "crimping" is usually pretty awful stuff. However, virtually all connections from the factory on all cars are crimped. It's not the process so much as the resources that are awful.
The trouble in trying to replace factory connectors is that they just aren't sold to us. Nor are the anvil and swage crimpers used by the factories. So yes, for repairs here on earth, it's best to solder-in the piece of the harness with the factory connectors.

instead of twisting the wire side by side, you should twist them in line overlapping, this way your connection point wont look like a V. Use heat shrink and plastic wiring protector and it will look fine.

in some ways crimping is a lot easier, i don't need three hands or have to worry about finding a place to prop the iron where it isn't going to cause more problems than help. if i have to make a repair like i did the other day on the temp sensor i am not trying to trying to hold a hot soldering iron over a hot engine really sucks. i don't have to worry about heat shrink. and if i do have to go some where to fix my car ( like on the side of the road ) i can. just a couple of reasons i like crimp connectors.

i am looking into the merti-pak connectors used on gm cars they look very similar to Mitsubishi connectors. i have a few gm connectors from my fiero project lying around i am going to take apart and see if they are close enough to see if they will work.
