Well i thought my 1G bov was leaking because it was not sounding normal. Got another 1g bov and it is still making the flutter sound!! Is this compressor surge or what else could it be.... i have the stock 14b turbo running at 13psi. What can i do to fix this??...especially if it's compressor surge.

Is the BOV opening? Is it stock or crushed? Make sure there is no kinks or cuts in the vacuum line that runs from the intake manifold to the BOV.

Ok sorry for being so vague in my first post! It is a completely stock 1g bov...this is my second one ive put on and it makes the same noise as my first one!! What happens is when you let off the gas to shift or when i let off the gas after some boost it makes the flutter sound!! never during idle or any other time! I looke at my hoses and they appear to be not kinked. What it looks like for my vaccum lines is that I have a line from my wastegate to my MBC then a line coming off of that to my BOV!! I hope that helps...please help....im sick of that noise!!!
thanks

someone correct me if i'm wrong but hook up the mbc to the compressor outlet and the other side to the wastegate actuator. then there should be a straight vacuum line from your BOV to the intake manifold.

You are correct.

Redo your BOV and MBC vacuum lines the correct way as THE REAL DEAL said and see if that helps at all.

Alright i will give that a try...the only question i have then is where is the compressor outlet??? and also i dont think i have a vacuum line coming off my intake!! where would it be?

cant find the nipple on the right side of the intake manifold. where would it be because i looked all over and couldnt find the nipple or any loose hoses. sorry....thanks

I cant find any pictures, and my engine is currently in pieces, but if your BOV line is tapped into the compressor outlet, it is hooked up incorrectly, it needs a direct source to the intake manifold, or it will continue to do it, and eventually tear up your turbo.

ok well if no one posts a pic it would be great if you could do that tomorrow!! thanks....anyone is more than welcome to jump in and help!!

thanks
